Eyelash Extensions

Our salons are uniquely tiered by technician skill level and experience. Our Herald Square Salon houses our pre-intermediate to intermediate level technicians. While our Midtown, SoHo and City Place locations house our advanced level technicians. Lastly, the Madison Spa only houses our mastery level technicians.

The lash extensions are adhered individually to your own lashes using a special adhesive about 1 mm away from the skin.

Properly adhered extensions will not damage your lashes. Do not be surprised if some of the extensions fall out with your natural lashes, as your lashes have a growth cycle like the rest of the hair on your body.

Extensions can last from 3 to 6 weeks with proper aftercare. Since natural lashes fall out daily, it is recommended to come every two weeks for refill appointments.

Natural lashes are not just one length, so mixing different lengths creates a much more natural look.

During a refill appointment the technician will remove any faulty lashes and replace the lashes that have already fallen out to ensure you have a beautiful full set of lashes again.

If you would like your extensions removed please make an appointment. One of our technicians will use a professional remover to dissolve the adhesive. Do not pick at the lashes as they will fall off with your natural lashes.

It is not recommended to use a curler or mascara as this will damage your natural lashes along with the extensions. If you feel that the extensions are not full enough, long enough, or curly enough please consult with your technician as these things can be adjusted.

Avoid getting your new lashes wet for at least 6 hours after application.
Avoid extreme heat such as, steam rooms, hot saunas, and hot yoga for the next 48 hours.
Avoid swimming for at least 48 hours after application.
The following will break the bond of the extensions: oil-based products, eyelash curlers, and lash perm or tinting.
Do not use mascara, as it will dissolve the adhesive. If you must use mascara, only use water-based mascara.
Gently remove eye makeup with an oil-free cleanser or remover.
Avoid rubbing your eyes and do not attempt to pull on loose extensions.
After showering, gently pat your lashes dry with a tissue and use an eyelash comb to gently groom any stray lashes, as needed.
Do not attempt to remove your lash extensions yourself. Let them fall out naturally or make an appointment to have them professionally removed.
Book a refill appointment for every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain the wear of your lashes.

We created a Free Fix policy for these cases as this work is done by humans and we can’t be perfect all of the time. We offer a fix appointment if you are experiencing premature shedding within the first 3 days of your appointment. In this case, please email the salon with photos of your extensions and a member of our team will be happy to assist you. Salon emails can be found on location pages.

An eyelash package can be used at our other locations; however, if there is a price difference between the locations you will be responsible to pay the difference. If you do not wish to pay more for your service, please use the package at the same location it was purchased.

Semi-Permanent Make-Up

Semi-permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing that enhances your natural features. At JJ Eyelashes we only use pigments that are specially created for cosmetic procedures, so that the colors don’t change in the future to a blue-ish or green-ish color. Using pigments, not tattoo ink, will ensure that the tattoo fades away naturally.

Microblading is a method of eyebrow tattooing that mimics natural hairs. Each hair stroke is carefully tattooed manually by hand to ensure precision.

There is minimal pain, as we apply a medical grade numbing cream before the procedure.

The procedure is semi-permanent so it will last anywhere from 2 to 5 years based on healing and aftercare. Some skin types retain the pigment better than others.

According to New York State law, minors under the age of 18 may not get a tattoo regardless of parental consent.

JJ Eyelashes Products

Yes! All of our adhesives are latex and formaldehyde free.

The Hypoallergenic adhesive is our most mild adhesive, making it perfect for clients with known sensitivities or irritations. However, please note that the drying time and curing time for this adhesive is longer than our other adhesives.

We believe in preserving and loving nature, so our lashes are not made from real animal fur. Our lashes are faux mink and silk, which are made from syntheic yarn fibers that make them very soft, light and flexible.
